ADMISSION PROCEDURE
1. Merit lists of qualified candidates will be published in the following two segments
- First list with number of candidates equal to the number of seats in each respective subject.
- Second list includes rest of the qualified candidates.
- If any candidate from the First List does not take admission, the candidates from Second List will be considered for admission according to their position in the merit list.
2. The candidates qualified for admission (both from First and Second Lists) will have to report for admission to the table of respective department at the Derozio Hall (College Auditorium) as per the following schedule, failing which the candidature will be deemed cancelled. No further claim in this regard will be considered under any circumstances.

- Final list of selected candidates will be recommended for admission after counselling/considering the choices of the candidates reported for admission.
3. REPORTING FOR ADMISSION WILL INVOLVE FOLLOWING STEPS.
- The candidate will have to fill in the reporting slip available at the Derozio Hall (College Auditorium) at the time of reporting.
- Candidates securing position in the First Lists of two subjects should seek admission in the subject of his/her choice and report to only one department accordingly.
- A candidate, securing position in the First List of one subject and second
list of the other,
- and willing to get admitted with honours in the subject, for which his/her
name is in the First List, should report to that department only;
- with the first choice for the subject for which his/her
name is in the second list, should report to both the departments, mentioning the order of preference
of subject in the prescribed proforma. If after final counselling, the position of the
andidate is raised to the First List, the candidate will get Honours subject of his/her first choice.
Otherwise, he/she will have to take admission with Honours in the subject of his/her second choice.
- A candidate, securing position in the second lists of two subjects, should report
to two departments separately mentioning the order of preference of subjects in prescribed proforma.
Admission will be offered only if the position of the candidate is elevated to the First List after
final counselling.
- Candidates, qualified for only one subject (First or Second List),
should report to that department only.
4. Further instructions related to admission will be given at the time of reporting/counselling.
